Haig Armen has dedicated the past 15 years to becoming a great designer. Driven to learn everything there is to know about typography, composition and how we interact with computers, he has stayed pretty busy. In an earlier life he worked as a professional musician playing guitar for 8-10 hrs a day. He studied composition and jazz in Montréal and graduated with a huge interest in recording music on computers. Before that he studied architecture and worked in an architectural firm in Ottawa.
He has designed corporate identities, book covers, ads, album artwork and promotional items for prestigious clients like CBC, BMW, Chanel & Nokia. Currently he runs a small design firm in Vancouver called LiFT Studios and and is Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Design & Dynamic Media at Emily Carr University. He is completing a Masters in Digital Media at the Centre for Digital Media in Vancouver.
